FC Barcelona win El Clasico to clinch title

FC Barcelona are the 2025/26 La Liga EA Sports champions. La Liga has fifth Champions League place

Thanks to Rayo Vallecano’s victory in midweek, it has been mathematically confirmed that the Spanish top tier will have a fifth Champions League spot and an extra European position overall for the second year in a row. Real Betis stand to benefit from that just now, as they hold a four-point lead in fifth place after a 2-2 draw with Real Sociedad over the weekend.

A crucial win for Sevilla FC

Sevilla FC moved further away from the relegation zone thanks to a comeback 2-1 win against RCD Espanyol. Andres Castrin and Akor Adams scored late goals to turn the scoreline around at a packed Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, buying the Andalusian side some space in the battle for survival.

Vedat Muriqi closes in on Kylian Mbappé

RCD Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi scored an important goal for his team in a 1-1 draw against Villarreal CF, which could be vital as the islanders look to secure their place in the division. The goal could also be decisive in the Pichichi Trophy race, with the Kosovo international now just two goals behind an injured Kylian Mbappé.
