Aldrine Kibet suffers heavy defeat with RC Celta against Real Madrid

By , April 4, 2026

Harambee Stars prodigy Aldrine Kibet endured a heavy beating with RC Celta B against Real Madrid Castilla on Friday evening, April 3, 2026.

Kibet was introduced in the match corresponding to the 31st round of the First Federation played at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium in the 61st minute, but could not turn the tide as they were heavily beaten 5-1 by Real Madrid Castilla.

Before the fixture, the club tipped Kibet to shine as he has been in great form for the side lately:

”Matchday. Aldrine Kibet called up with Celta Fortuna vs Real Madrid Castilla. Kenya, hii ni moment — tunaenda pamoja. Bring that support for our boy… he go show levels today. And yeah… today we prove it. Celta bigger…on the pitch.” The statement read in brief.

Match outlook

Meanwhile, Celta Fortuna were beaten in a contest heavily influenced by their own errors, particularly in the second half, even though they showed encouraging signs early in the game.

The Celta Vigo reserves opened the scoring from a dead-ball situation and then settled into a disciplined 5-4-1 setup that restricted space and enabled smooth transitions. However, poor accuracy in the decisive pass and two costly mistakes before the break erased their early advantage, giving the visitors the chance to overturn the deficit.

Shortly after the restart, Celta Fortuna were punished severely for further lapses, as defensive mistakes, careless turnovers, and weak control inside their box allowed Castilla to net three goals in quick succession.

Even with the heavy loss, the Celta Vigo second team kept fighting until the end and managed to produce a few scattered opportunities, though they were unable to reduce the gap.

Fredi Álvarez’s side will return to action on the road next weekend when they face Arenas Club on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Gobela Municipal Stadium.
