AFC Leopards reveal date and venue for their next league clash

AFC Leopards will be back to action this Saturday, May 16, 2026, as the thrilling Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League title race continues.
According to an update on Friday, May 15, 2026, Fred Ambani’s side will be on the road to face Kakamega Homeboyz in the Ingo Derby on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The clash will be staged at the Mumias Sports Complex in what will be their first match of their final three fixtures.
The championship challengers head into the crucial encounter a couple of days after edging Ulinzi Stars 2-0 to close the gap on league leaders and bitter rivals Gor Mahia on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Nyayo Stadium.
Ingwe’s title chase
Prior to this. the former KPL giants had breathed new life into their late push for the league title after a priceless 2-1 victory over Mara Sugar on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
With fingers crossed in the nervy title race that seemed destined to end on the final day of the league, captain Victor Omune has maintained that they remain firmly in the race until the very end.
Omune made the remarks after Ingwe’s win over Ulinzi Stars, as Fred Ambani’s side closed the gap on the Green Army to four points, moving to 61 points while K’Ogalo remained on 65.
”We are happy, it is time to celebrate this win, but then again, we still have to fight for another three points over the weekend,” he said.
The skipper further commended the club’s ultras for their unwavering support throughout the season:
”They believe that we can still win the title, and that is what has been pushing us. We still believe we have a chance; we still believe we can fight to the end to get the title at the end of the season,” Omune added.
The weekend encounter will get underway at 3:00 pm.
