Rapcha the Sayantist predicts ODMs future, links Ruto to party’s troubles

By , February 12, 2026

Rapcha the Sayantist has predicted a bleak future for the Orange Democratic Movement party (ODM), citing interference from President William Ruto.

Rapcha noted that the ouster of Edwin Sifuna as the party’s Secretary General is the first of many such moves that will send the party hurtling to its deathbed.

He linked Ruto to Sifuna’s ouster, claiming that the president has successfully executed this and many more will soon find themselves walking the same lonely and challenging path that the Nairobi Senator has found himself on.

Rapcha added that no one will be spared in Ruto’s purge, including party leader Oburu Odinga, who has been on the frontline championing a cooperation to back Ruto’s 2027 bid

Ruto has successfully removed Sifuna from ODM. He’ll now move to the next member, watatolewa hivo wote mpaka kina Oburu (They will all be shown the door, including Oburu),” he stated on X on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

The podcaster also noted that the party will suffer the same fate that befell many others before it by 2027.

By 2027, itakua imebaki tu shell kama Ford Kenya ya Jaramogi Oginga (The party will be a shell, just like Jaramogi’s Ford Kenya),” he added.

Ruto dragged into ODM chaos

A number of ODM politicians have linked the party’s troubles to Ruto, with Sifuna lamenting that the new ODM leadership has made it an appendage of State House from where orders come, including illegalities.

“It is painful to note that sections of the party continue to desecrate the memory and legacy of Raila by turning this party into a theatre of illegality.

“It is also a known fact that whatever deals Raila struck with political parties, he would never have allowed his beloved ODM to become an appendage of State House, where decisions are rubber-stamped after instructions from the regime,” Sifuna said in a press conference on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Sifuna’s truth on the source of his troubles

According to the lawmaker, his only crime is opposing ODM’s dalliance with Ruto.

“My only ‘crime’ is that I oppose any plans and schemes within the party to support President William Ruto’s re-election, because I have held and continue to hold the firm position that this country can not afford another five years of this expensive, divisive, incompetent and disastrous Ruto misadventure,” Sifuna declared.
