NACADA announces 37 job vacancies

The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has announced several job vacancies as it seeks to strengthen its capacity to address alcohol and drug abuse in the country.

In a public notice released on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the State corporation said it is looking to recruit dynamic, result-oriented and self-driven Kenyan citizens to fill various positions across different departments. NACADA was established under the NACADA Act of 2012 and is mandated to coordinate multi-sectoral efforts aimed at preventing, controlling and reducing the impact of alcohol and drug abuse in Kenya.

NACADA said the recruitment will be conducted competitively, with each role having specific requirements outlined in detailed job profiles available on the authority’s website.

In the notice, the State corporation said the available positions are as follows:

  1. Compliance Officer – 30 positions
  2. Office Administrator – 3 positions
  3. Accountant – 2 positions
  4. Corporate Communications Officer – 1 position
  5. Records Management Officer – 1 position

Qualified candidates have been invited to submit hard copy applications to the NACADA headquarters in Nairobi.

The applications are required to include a cover letter, a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials and a copy of the National Identity Card. Applicants must also clearly quote the relevant job reference number on both the application letter and the envelope.

“The Authority wishes to competitively recruit dynamic, result-oriented and self-driven Kenyan citizens for the following positions,” NACADA stated, adding that the recruitment is part of efforts to effectively deliver on its national mandate.

NACADA noted that all applications must be received by Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 5.00 pm. East Africa Time. The authority also cautioned that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and warned that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Successful applicants will be required to comply with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, which sets out the standards on leadership and integrity.
