By William Muthama, December 17, 2025Nairobi County’s Head of Customer Care Department, Geoffrey Mosiria, has offered to help a distressed man whose emotional pleas on social media have drawn public attention after his daughter reportedly went missing.
Mosiria said he was deeply moved after coming across a video showing the teary father appealing for information about his child.
Father’s plea
In the clip, the man is heard expressing pain and desperation, saying he has been unable to eat or sleep since the girl disappeared and pleading with her to let him know where she is.
The emotional appeal has since circulated widely online, prompting concern from Kenyans.

In a statement shared on Facebook on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Mosiria said he could not ignore the suffering of the man, noting that he had previously helped rescue several Rastafarians living on the streets.
He added that seeing a Rasta man in such distress touched him deeply, given the historical struggles and sacrifices associated with the community.
Mosiria, who also serves as the Secretary General of Cooperation and Service to Citizens in Nairobi, said he was willing to offer his services to help reconcile the father and daughter if they are both within Nairobi.

He appealed to members of the public with information on the whereabouts of either party to come forward and assist in reuniting them.
He further linked his concern to Kenya’s history, noting that freedom fighters such as Dedan Kimathi endured great suffering for the country’s liberation, and that seeing fellow Kenyans in pain should compel others to act with compassion and solidarity.
Mosiria emphasised that no parent should be left to suffer in silence and encouraged cooperation between citizens, county officials, and security agencies to resolve the matter.
