How to report pipe leaks to Nairobi Water via regional emergency hotlines

In a public message shared on X on September 9, 2026, the utility company highlighted the importance of preventing water loss, warning that minor leaks can quickly lead to dry taps across residential areas.
Addressing both domestic and public pipe damage, the utility provider drew a clear line between household plumbing problems and main supply pipe leaks. “Got a leak at home? Call your plumber ASAP,” the company urged.
For public infrastructure, they advised, “Spot a leak or burst outside? Report to Nairobi Water ASAP.”
The advisory carries a warning for every consumer: “Don’t let water go to waste , every drop counts, and today’s waste could mean tomorrow’s shortage at your own tap.”
Simple reporting guidelines to prevent water loss
To encourage swift public reporting, the service provider released digital guidelines featuring local messaging.

The provider further urges residents “USIPATWE OFF GUARD”, highlighting that reporting pipe bursts as soon as they occur prevents dry taps and protects community supply lines.
When making a report, customers should state their exact estate, nearest landmark, and the nature of the leak so repair teams can locate and fix the problem quickly.

To make reporting easier, the company published emergency contacts for various zones across the city.
Residents in Roysambu can reach out via 0712 453 283, while those in Lower Embakasi can call 0724 253 582. Upper Embakasi customers can report through 0725 120 022.
