Nairobi County Government’s Citizen Engagement and Customer Care boss, Geoffrey Mosiria, has come to the aid of two children found suffering and exposed on the streets of Nairobi.

In a post shared on social media on Monday, January 12, 2025, Mosiria revealed that he rescued the children at different times.

The first child, Chris, was reportedly being exploited by a woman claiming to be his mother.

“We found him being used to hawk by a lady while her own children were at home going to school,” Mosiria explained.

He is still searching for Chris’s real parents to ensure the boy is safely reunited with his family.

The second child, Jose, was rescued late last Friday night from the CBD, wandering alone with no adult to care for him.

According to Mosiria, Jose’s mother was also on the streets and claimed that her husband was in jail and that she needed Ksh100,000 for bail.

Mosiria immediately took the child into safe custody and arranged for support while efforts continue to stabilize the family.

Mosiria emphasized that these children did not choose to be on the streets and called on Kenyans to join hands in helping vulnerable kids.

“I took it upon myself to take these children to safe custody, because it is not their wish to be on the streets. I also call upon Kenyans let’s join hands and get these kids off the streets. It is not safe for them,” he said.

This comes a few days after he rescued a four-year-old boy after battling cold nights in Nairobi Central Business District.

In a post on Mosiria’s official X account on Saturday, January 10, 2026, he explained that the four-year-old boy has been sleeping on the streets for a long time.

“I had no option but to rescue this child from the streets of Nairobi, where he was sleeping in the cold!” Mosiria added.
