Activist Boniface Mwangi, without flaunting names, said that he will never betray Kenyans.

Speaking exclusively to a local TV station on Sunday, January 25, 2026, Mwangi said that if it were selling out, the past two years would have been his moment.

“There was a bullet in my bag, my house was bombed, and no one was arrested. They have done the worst they can ever do. I will never give up or sell out.

“I know Kenyan people understand that I have been at the forefront in the streets for the past 20 years.

“It was very easy for me to sell out for the past two years because for these guys, it’s about money,” he said.

Commitment to Kenyans

Mwangi expressed frustration at questions about money, noting the contrast with some individuals running for President.

“It’s unfortunate that every time I go for an interview, I am asked about money, yet some people running for President have never held a job their whole lives, never written a CV, and have been in public service their whole lives.

They are billionaires because they stole that money from the Kenyan people,” he stated.

Mwangi promises to march on

He reiterated his dedication to activism and defending the interests of ordinary Kenyans.

Mwangi said his work on the streets and in public advocacy is driven by principles rather than personal gain.

He emphasized that challenges and threats will not deter him from pushing for accountability and transparency in government.

Mwangi encouraged citizens to stay vigilant and support those committed to fighting corruption and defending democratic rights.

He said that genuine leadership requires courage and integrity, qualities he vows to uphold while continuing to champion the rights of Kenyans and other activists facing similar struggles.
