The funeral of Betty Bayo took place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her Mugumo home along Kirigiti Road, near Kamiti Corner.

Several well-known Kenyan musicians and friends attended to pay their respects and support the family during this difficult time. The event brought together colleagues, family, and close friends who had been part of Betty Bayo’s life and career.

Mr Seed, who had previously collaborated with Betty Bayo on a song, attended the funeral to honour her memory.

Milly Chebby

Milly Chebby had been actively involved in the funeral arrangement meetings at their home from the very start and was present at the burial.

She attended alongside her husband, Terence Creative, offering support and helping manage the proceedings. Milly Chebby’s attendance reflected her deep respect and friendship with Betty Bayo.

Milly wa Jesus attended the funeral wearing a sash labelled “Ushers”, a role that helped organise and coordinate the ceremony.

Lady Bee

Lady Bee also served as an usher, wearing a sash to help manage the funeral proceedings. Taking how sad she was on Instagram, she wrote, “Today we laid you to rest, my sister. Our hearts are heavy, but we trust God’s goodness. Lala salama #BettyBayo.”
