Speaking during a local podcast published on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, Weru said the way fans see him in regard to his beard is exactly how he looks everywhere else.
The outspoken radio and TV host explained that the decision was neither staged nor driven by trends, but rather by personal circumstance and comfort.
In his words, life has moved very fast, with many things happening at once, pushing him to reflect on where he is and where he wants to go next.
A candid confession on grooming
“Ata sina doh ya kwenda kinyozi checki manze,” Weru said.
Weru revealed that finances, lifestyle changes and honesty with himself all played a role.
He told the hosts that he does not shave everywhere, insisting that what people see publicly reflects his private life.
He added that at the moment he has no pressure to impress anyone, noting that relationships often influence grooming habits.
“Me, I don’t shave everywhere. Unajua madem ushave when wako na kagame na chali. “Vile nakaa tu uku (ndevu) ndivyo nakaa kila mahali.” Weru reflected.

He ruled out popular coastal destinations, saying he has visited them several times before and currently feels no urge to travel.
