Sarah Mtalii gifts her son a horse on his 13th birthday
Mtalii Bush Camp founder Sarah Mtalii has warmed hearts by revealing a unique and thoughtful gift she gave her son, Austin Mtalii, on his 13th birthday.
In an Instagram post on January 10, 2026, Mtalii stated that the gift was meant to teach him responsibility, independence, and the value of earning his own pocket money.

According to Sarah, the horse will be part of activities at her camp, allowing Austin to learn hands-on skills while staying active and engaged.
“Join me in wishing my son Austin Mtalii a happy 13th birthday. I have gifted him a horse to earn him some small pocket money and keep him off gadgets while he’s here,” she wrote.
Sarah explained that the idea behind the gift was to encourage her son to spend more time outdoors, away from excessive screen time, while also learning practical life lessons through nature and animal care.
In the same post, she also hinted at exciting developments at her camp, noting that the swimming pool at the facility is expected to be ready by the end of the month.
“The swimming pool will be ready by month end. Karibuni sana for weekend getaways before rates hike.”
Her prayer
This comes a few weeks after Sarah Mtalii publicly shared that she prays for her ex-partner, Simon Kabu, to find someone who will respect her children.
Speaking on Saturday, December 14, 2025, she said, “Hapana, actually acha nikuambie Simon, mimi nakuombea kila siku upate mtu mzuri, you know, mtu hatasumbua watoto wangu.”
The comments came shortly after Simon Kabu made headlines following his appearance at the Bonfire anniversary with a woman who sparked speculation online after his separation from Sarah Mtalii.
Videos from the event showed Kabu arriving with the woman, leading many to wonder about their relationship. Simon quickly issued a clarification to set the record straight.
In a video shared by SPM Buzz on Friday, December 12, 2025, Kabu explained that the woman accompanying him was his niece and also a staff member at Bonfire Adventures.
“This special guest is actually my niece. She is also my staff because she works at Bonfire, which is why I arrived with her together,” he said. The businessman noted that her presence was purely for coordination and ceremonial purposes during the anniversary event.
