Comedian Sammy Kioko has shared his plans for the year 2026 in his maiden post on social media, signalling a new chapter in his life while also highlighting his resilience.

Finding inspiration in his Christian faith, Kioko noted that a time comes when one has to sit back and watch in silence while trusting God to fight their battles.

He accompanied the update with a video which showed him immersed in prayer.

Ukikaa kimya unampa Mungu Nafasi ya kupigana vita vyako 📌 (When you sit in silence, you give God the chance to fight your battles),” Kioko stated.

The comedian also shared his belief in starting over again in a brief but weighty statement that captured his resilience, revealing that he is grinding back to the city and wished his followers a happy new year.

“It’s never too late to start over Again. Grinding back to the city. #Happy new year,” Kioko added.

Kioko’s absence on social media after a challenging 2025

The update came after a prolonged absence on social media, which began on December 10, 2025.

2025 was a challenging year for the talented comedian, who had to make great sacrifices and difficult decisions, with his loyal fans supporting him every step of the way.

Selling his first car was among the difficult decisions he had to make amid financial challenges.

His sister also fell sick and required treatment outside the country, with well-wishers also stepping in to help him raise the funds.

The comedian also had to close his clothing business, Kioko Designs, due to financial challenges that saw him fail to pay employees.

He arrived at the painful decision after days of back-and-forth as he demanded payments from the County Government of Machakos.

A video of the comedian camping outside the governor’s office went viral in November 2025 as he shared his frustrations.

“Kutoka asubuhi nimekua hapa kwa ofisi ya governor hapa White House, and imagine I just want to see the governor, but there are people who have made sure I cannot see the governor,” Kioko said at the time.

He affirmed his commitment to ensure that he receives payment for his work, asserting that justice might delay but it never hides, and the truth is louder than politics.
