Robert Burale explains the power of silence in achieving success

Motivational speaker and pastor Robert Burale has shared the importance of silence, discipline, and keeping personal plans private as a key to achieving success.

In an Instagram post on Monday, May 18, 2026, Burale warned against the habit of oversharing goals and plans on social media and in public conversations, saying it can sometimes work against progress.

He explained that many people experience setbacks or failure on the verge of success because they speak too soon about what they are planning before it is fully achieved.

“Many people fail not because they are not ready, but because they announce things before they are ready,” he noted.

Wisdom requires restraint

According to him, wisdom requires restraint. He encouraged people to be careful about who they share their dreams with, noting that not every environment or audience needs access to personal ambitions.

Burale emphasised that announcing plans too early can attract unnecessary attention, pressure, or even negativity.

“Not everyone needs to know your next move. Some environments are not safe for your vision,” Burale emphasised.

He advised that individuals should adopt what he referred to as a “submarine strategy,” where focus is placed on silent work and execution rather than public declaration.

In this approach, people are encouraged to work quietly, stay disciplined, and allow results to speak for themselves.

“Move like a submarine, quiet, focused, and unseen until the results are ready to surface,” he said.

Let results speak

“Results have a stronger and better voice,” he noted, urging people to prioritise action over constant explanation.

He further stressed the importance of avoiding excessive posting on social media, especially about future goals such as career moves, financial plans, or personal milestones.

“Let your results speak for you. You don’t need to announce everything you are doing,” he added.

Burale ended his talk by encouraging patience, focus, and intentional living, reminding audiences that true success is often built in silence and revealed through outcomes rather than announcements.
