Professor Hamo: Shortest way to poverty is when you cheat on your wife or husband

Professor Hamo has said the shortest way to poverty is cheating on your wife or husband, and that the damage comes quietly before people notice.
In a video on Saturday, February 28, 2026, he said many people think their business failed because of the economy, yet the real cause is personal actions.
“When I said the shortest way to poverty is when you cheat on your wife or husband, ni ukweli,” he said as he explained the hidden cost of cheating.
He explained that the fall does not happen in an obvious way, and people often blame outside problems.
“It is so hidden you think, biashara yako ilianguka juu ya uchumi, si uchumi. Si uchumi,” he explained in the video shared on his socials.
He added that when a person messes up, the grace of God leaves them, and from that point on, things start to go downhill.
The comedian spoke about his own experience and said he has lived through the results of cheating.

“Mimi, I went through it,” he said while explaining how his life changed.
He said there were many times he wanted to do great things for kids, but life was hard at that time because of his choices. Professor Hamo said he decided to speak out so others would not walk into the same problems.
“If I don’t speak out, kuna watu wanaingia saa hii kwa ngori,” he said.
According to the comedian, people may not see the link at first, but cheating brings loss that later shows in many areas of life.
Message on choices and loss
Hamo explained that the fall that follows cheating can affect work, plans, and daily life.
“When you mess up, the grace of God leaves you. And kutoka hapo, it is downing,” he said.

He insisted that people should not argue with him because he is speaking from his own life.
He also said his words are not meant to bring attention to himself.
“And when I say things like this, I am not saying them ndio sasa nipate clicks. I don’t care about clicks,” he said. He stressed that the message is serious and meant to warn people.
He described the issue as serious and said it affects people deeply.
