Former Tahidi High actors OJ and Miss Morgan reunite for a hangout

Former Tahidi High actor Dennis Mugo, popularly known as OJ, has reunited with his former co-star Angel Waruinge, better known as Miss Morgan, years after the two entertained Kenyans on the popular school drama.
In an Instagram video shared by OJ on Monday, September 7, 2026, the two former cast members were seen spending time together, sharing jokes and laughing as they caught up.
OJ revealed that Miss Morgan had visited him, giving fans a chance to see two familiar faces from the long-running Citizen TV show together again.
The reunion has brought back memories of Tahidi High, which became a favourite among Kenyan television viewers for its humorous portrayal of life in a fictional secondary school.
Miss Morgan’s role on Tahidi High
Waruinge became known for playing Miss Morgan, the no-nonsense deputy principal of Tahidi High. Her character was often involved in maintaining discipline while dealing with the antics of students and other members of the school community.
Her performance made Miss Morgan one of the recognisable characters on the show, which ran for several years.
However, Waruinge eventually left the programme as she looked for other opportunities in the creative industry. She later explained that she felt the character was no longer developing and that staying on the show was limiting opportunities outside it.
“Seven years after shooting the show and playing this no-nonsense character, I got a contract to do a show on M-Net called Jane and Abel, so I felt I needed a change,” she said in a previous interview.
Life after Miss Morgan
Away from the character that made her famous, Waruinge has continued working in the creative industry.
She has worked as a business development executive at Nairobi Performing Arts Studio and has also been involved in production and brand work.
In 2025, the actress also spoke openly about experiencing depression and alcoholism during a difficult period in her life, particularly around the COVID-19 pandemic. She said the experience affected her career and personal life before she sought help.
Her journey since leaving Tahidi High has therefore extended beyond acting, with her work now also involving business and the wider creative sector.
OJ’s journey after Tahidi High
Mugo, meanwhile, remains closely associated with OJ, the mischievous student he portrayed on Tahidi High.
After leaving the show, he moved into other areas of entertainment, including film production and digital content. Recent reports have also shown him remaining active on social media, where he continues to interact with fans and share aspects of his life.
In July 2026, fellow actor and musician Pascal Tokodi also celebrated Mugo for his contribution to Kenyan television, describing his work on Tahidi High as an inspiration to a generation of actors.
The latest reunion with Miss Morgan is a reminder that, despite taking different paths after Tahidi High, some of the friendships and connections formed on the show have remained.
