Pritty Vishy advises women to be child-free
Kenyan content creator Pritty Vishy has advised women to consider remaining child-free.
In a statement shared on her Instagram stories on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Vishy encouraged women to prioritise themselves over societal expectations to have children.
She highlighted what she described as men’s limited involvement and interest in child-rearing, pointing out that many men enjoy the idea of having children more than the responsibilities that come with raising them.
Vishy urged women to make choices that focus on their own well-being and personal goals rather than following traditional pressures to start a family.
“Men don’t love kids, they love the process of making kids No they love telling their friends and society they have kids. They don’t care about kids if they were the ones to get pregnant, men would never do that, so women, please choose yourselves and be child-free,” Pritty Vishy stated.

Children and hardships
This comes weeks after she said she would rather face financial struggles alone than raise children in hardship.
Pritty Vishy opened up about the challenges of caring for her nonverbal autistic sister.
On January 7, 2026, she shared that although she isn’t financially well-off, she is thankful not to have extra responsibilities.
“At least I’m broke on my own. Imagine being broke with two kids,” she wrote.

In December, Vishy recounted a particularly difficult day helping her sister through her first menstrual cycle. She described the experience as intense and demanding, requiring constant attention, patience, and care, from hygiene to emotional support.
She explained that raising a nonverbal disabled child can be emotionally exhausting, especially during major milestones like menstruation. Despite this, Vishy emphasised the importance of showing love and support every day, making sure her sister feels safe and cared for.
“Every day, I just try as much as I can to show her love, to show that I care. Days like these, I wish my sister could talk,” she said.
