Omosh One Hour rubbishes claims he was involved in road accident with his new car

Social media personality Omosh One Hour has dismissed circulating reports claiming he was involved in a serious road accident involving his newly purchased car.

Speaking in a video shared on TikTok on Sunday, March 8, 2026, Omosh confirmed that he was unharmed and criticised the spread of false information. He stated that despite online claims, he is well and in good health.

“It’s Omosh One Hour here. I can confirm that I am well,” he said.

The staunch Raila Odinga supporter explained that he noticed someone commenting online that he had been involved in an accident.

He directly addressed the claim, questioning who could have spread such misinformation and firmly labelling it as a lie.

“I saw someone commenting that I was involved in an accident. Who told you that? That is a lie. I am fine, and everything is okay,” Omosh added.

This clarification comes just days after Omosh made headlines for publicly revealing details about the purchase of his new car and shutting down speculation that he had been financed by politicians.

The social media personality, who recently expanded his career into talk shows with a new YouTube format, clarified that it was a personal friend who bought the car.

“There is no politician who has bought me a car. None. It is my friend who bought me the car,” he said.

According to Omosh, the friend who purchased the car had once considered entering politics and supported political projects in the past, but ultimately decided against pursuing a political career.

Omosh emphasised that the purchase had nothing to do with political influence and that neither politicians nor public figures had directly helped him financially.

He also highlighted that his family includes educated and accomplished individuals who support him in various ways.

“He wanted to be a politician but stopped. He no longer wants it. He was supporting Raila’s projects. In our family, we also have learned people,” Omosh stated.

Ruto support

In other news, the famous Bunge la Mwananchi politician explained why he has been perceived as wavering in his political loyalty, outlining how he moved from critic to unwavering supporter of Ruto.

Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna on Monday, August 25, 2025, he recalled a time when he used to discourage citizens from voting for Ruto while suggesting that other candidates were better suited for leadership than him.

He revealed that his early opposition was fervent, rooted in personal conviction, and reflected a belief that Ruto’s leadership at the time was inadequate.

“Honestly, in the past, I used to say William Ruto was bad, and I even told people it would be better to vote for Mende instead of him. I was very critical of Ruto, but I never participated in protests against him. I used to act out of my own conviction,” he said.

He added that despite his criticisms, he never participated in protests or demonstrations because he had a vendetta against the president, emphasising that his opposition was personal and reflective rather than performative.

He revealed that over time, his perspective began to shift as he observed the tangible outcomes of government initiatives.

“Later, I changed my mind and started supporting him because I saw the work he was doing. During the campaign, I acknowledged his efforts, and my perspective began to shift,” he added.
