Nurse Judy has addressed the backlash she has faced online after deciding to support her stepdaughter, the child sired by her husband and his former house manager.

She expressed confusion on Instagram on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, over why some people react so strongly to other people’s choices, especially when it involves acts of kindness.

She said, “You know, I have been wondering, why are online people triggered so much by people’s decisions or when they see other people happy?”

She explained that some people go to great lengths to comment, message, or criticise others without understanding the full context.

“They are so triggered, like they would come to your page, to your comment section, to your DM to say stuff mpaka unakaa unashangaa kwani huyu mtu anapitia vitu gani kwa maisha yake,” she said. Nurse Judy noted that she herself was calm and minding her own life, yet some individuals were bitter and angry about her decision.

Supporting an innocent life

Nurse Judy spoke specifically about her choice to help the baby, describing the backlash she received as unnecessary.

“Kuna mtu is so bitter and angry that I decided to support a very innocent baby. There are people who are triggered and who are very angry,” she said.

She said that her decision was personal and guided by her sense of compassion. She asked the public to put themselves in her place, questioning how they would feel if roles were reversed.

“Unashangaa hata ingekua ni wewe, ungezaliwa, ukatae ku supportiwa, would you feel good? What is wrong with you people?”

She also revealed that she received direct messages from people insulting her for the decision she made. Despite the negativity, Nurse Judy said she is focused on doing what she believes is right.

“Kuna watu wanakuja kwa DM yangu wananitukana kwa sababu ya my own decision, I am honestly happy,” she stated.

Nurse Judy’s comments show the pressure public figures face when making personal choices, especially involving family matters. Her response checks standing by decisions that bring happiness.
