Blogger Njambi Fever has called for the legalisation of abortion and stressed that women should have full control over their bodies.

In a post on Friday, March 6, 2026, she said women should only give birth if and when they want, regardless of age or financial status.

Speaking openly on social media, Njambi said the decision to have a child should always belong to the woman carrying it. She argued that society often places unfair burdens on women while ignoring their rights.

“We should be fighting hard to legalise abortion ndio hata mtu hana pesa anaweza toa mimba kama hajiskii nayo without complications,” Njambi said.

She said it is wrong to treat abortion as a crime and highlighted the inequality women face when it comes to reproductive responsibilities.

“Nyinyi wanawake mko hapa na nyef nyef mob useless vile it is a crime, and it’s wrong in God’s eyes,” she added.

Njambi said the choice to have a baby should not depend on a man’s wishes or financial situation.

“Lakini kama hutaki, sio ati mwanaume hataki ama anataka ama ako na pesa, Kama kitu tu inakwambia hutaki, toa! Walai nyi mko na mchezo sana,” she said.

She emphasised that the physical and emotional burden of pregnancy falls entirely on women, making their choice crucial.

“Hizo miezi tisa ni yeye ndio atabeba hiyo ball? Yeye ndio atapush ama ndio atakatwa 7 layers mtoto atolewe? Naulizaje atanyonyesha huyo mtoto? The burden is on you as a woman! You!” Njambi said.

Reproductive rights and choice

Njambi encouraged society to respect women’s decisions and reduce unnecessary stigma around abortion. She said women should not be pressured by social expectations or men’s opinions when it comes to pregnancy.

“So yes, you have a choice. To keep or not to keep. Nyef nyef mob za upuzi tupunguze. Legalise abortion!” she said.

She added that legalising abortion would ensure women could access safe procedures without financial or social barriers. Njambi argued that empowering women to make decisions about their bodies is key to equality.

Njambi said the focus should remain on women’s autonomy and the right to make informed decisions and concluded that respecting women’s choices is essential.
