Nathaniel Bassey, Benny Hinn and 5 other global pastors endeared by Kenyans
By Steve Ireri, December 5, 2025Kenyans have increasingly embraced global pastors alongside their local church leaders, drawn to their inspirational sermons, teachings, and international reputations.
This trend becomes most visible at large faith events such as Rhema Feast, where crowds gather to witness a succession of ministers from Nigeria, South Africa, and other African nations.
Such occasions always offer a wide variety of spiritual messages and also demonstrate the growing appetite among Kenyan believers for exposure to diverse Christian ministries.
Here are seven global pastors Kenyans closely follow, drawn by their teachings, worship movements, and strong digital reach.
1. Nathaniel Bassey
Nathaniel Bassey remains one of the most beloved worship ministers among Kenyan Christians.
Known for his trumpet-led worship and deeply devotional songs, he has built a strong spiritual following through his association with The Oasis Lagos, which is the youth church of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), one of Africa’s most influential revival ministries.
His online movement, the Hallelujah Challenge, draws tens of thousands of Kenyans every year, especially during its midnight worship sessions.
Kenyan churches frequently incorporate his music, including Imela, Onise Iyanu, and You Are God, into their Sunday services and night vigils.

Nathaniel Bassey has previously ministered in Nairobi, appearing at worship conferences and collaborative events alongside Kenyan gospel artistes.
2. Benny Hinn
Benny Hinn, founder of Benny Hinn Ministries, remains one of the most recognisable Christian figures in Kenya.
His televised healing crusades, broadcast throughout the 1990s and 2000s, made him a spiritual reference point for many Kenyan families.
His global ministry features large-scale crusades, miracle services and teaching programmes that air on faith channels such as TBN and Daystar, which enjoy strong viewership in Kenya.
Even today, his YouTube sermons rank among the most-streamed by Kenyan Christians.

He has held massive crusades in Nairobi in previous years, some drawing crowds estimated in the hundreds of thousands.
3. Joshua Selman
Apostle Joshua Selman, founder of the fast-growing ministry Koinonia Global, commands an enormous online following in Kenya, especially among university students and young professionals.
His teachings on spiritual growth, destiny, relationships, purpose and prayer frequently trend on Kenyan TikTok, YouTube, and church discussion groups.

Selman’s ministry is defined by long-form expository sermons delivered with depth and consistency, which Kenyan believers often reference in Bible study groups and Christian campuses.
His conferences in Nigeria attract many Kenyans who travel to attend in person.
4. Funke Felix-Adejumo
Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, founder of the Funke Felix-Adejumo Foundation and a revered minister under the Agape Christian Ministries umbrella, enjoys a strong following among Kenyan women’s ministries.
Her teachings focus on family, womanhood, leadership, healing and resilience, making her a regular feature in Kenyan prayer groups, conferences and online women’s fellowships.
Her sermons, often centred on emotional restoration, dignity and personal growth, circulate widely across Kenyan WhatsApp groups. Several Kenyan pastors regularly quote her during women’s conferences.
She has travelled to Kenya multiple times for women’s conferences and leadership summits held in Nairobi.
5. Felix Okoh
Bishop Felix Okoh, the Nigerian-born, South Africa-based founder of House of Treasures Ministries, is increasingly followed in Kenya, particularly by charismatic Christians who watch his prophetic and teaching services online.
His ministry emphasises breakthroughs, worship, personal transformation, and prophetic direction.

Many Kenyans living in South Africa also attend his services, often sharing sermons and worship clips that later trend among Kenyan audiences.
Okoh visited Kenya during the highly talked about Rhema Feast, which went down at the Uhuru Park from September 1, 2025, to September 5, 2025.
6. Chris Oyakhilome
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Christ Embassy, has built one of Africa’s largest Christian networks, with millions of viewers across the continent, including Kenya.
His teachings on faith, healing, the Holy Spirit, and positive confession attract a diverse Kenyan audience ranging from youth groups to long-time charismatic believers.
Christ Embassy also has an active Kenyan presence, supported by local branches, prayer fellowships, and global online programmes that routinely draw thousands of Kenyan participants.
He has been associated with ministry activities involving Christ Embassy Kenya, though large-scale personal visits have been limited in recent years.
