Mwalimu Rachel opens up on the most dangerous thing she’s done this year
By Keya Frankline, January 19, 2026Mwalimu Rachel shares that the most dangerous thing she has done in 2026 is go to Nairobi’s central business district.
She documented her journey to the Tea Room, where she was receiving her package. The busy matatu stage is famously known travel outside the city.
“The Most Dangerous thing I’ve done this year… creating content from down town!!” Naenda kuchukua mzigo my mum and dad have sent me from Embu,”Mwalimu Rachel shared in a social media post on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Additionally, she took us through her checklist of items that she prepared before heading to town, terming them as a survival tool kit. The items include a powerbank, lipstick and cash.
Mwalimu justified her checklist, saying a power bank to avoid a dead phone in the CBD, lipstick because a girl still gotta look fly and cash.

Boarding a cab to town, Mwalimu mentions that apart from her cab driver, no one really noticed her in town.
Following the attention she received in public places, Mwalimu enjoyed the trip as no one really noticed her. She attributed this to the busy culture of Nairobians where everyone is trying to make ends met.
In her own words, “nobody cares who you are; everyone is just busy trying to live their lives.”
Upon this realisation, she ultimately liked the factor. On her way to the Tea Room, she lost direction but managed to manoeuvre until her final stop.
Mwalimu then picked her package and had the staff navigate the luggage around town as she followed on the trolley. She took us back to her cash checklist, which came in hand.
She describes Tea Room as too chaotic. Mwalimu had to experience of waiting for her ride made her feel like an abandoned child in the CBD. She was hyper-aware of everyone passing by with the fear of getting robbed in the bustling city centre
The true reward was the package from her parents, containing food from her family’s farm. “It’s the fact that my parents send me food from the farm in Embu from time to time that makes me feel ever so special and loved,” Mwalimu Rachel shared.
