Mr Seed condemns online attacks targeting late Betty Bayo’s children

Singer Mr Seed has strongly condemned social media users who have been posting negative comments about the children of the late Betty Bayo.
Betty Bayo passed away on November 10, 2025, leaving behind very young children, Sky and Danny Victor. Mr Seed said it is wrong for adults to hide behind keyboards and target minors online. He stresses that such behaviour is cruel and unacceptable.
“Huwa si understand mtu tu mzima unahide behind keyboard, halafu unaanza kuongelelea mtoto vibaya. Ama unaanza ku comment kuhusu mtoto vibaya. Mtu yeyote mwenye hukua kwa hizo comments, and you are doing that, you are a very wicked man. Ama is a very wicked person,” Mr Seed said while addressing the press at an event.

He explained that children should never be exposed to attacks, especially after losing a parent.
He added that online abuse affects children deeply and can leave lasting emotional scars.
“Because how? Mimi mtoto wangu amekua …ashakua hapo before. This is just a kid, hajui kitu yoyote. Sawa sawa?” Mr Seed explained, saying that minors are innocent and unaware of adult conflicts.
The impact on the children
Mr Seed urges people to show support rather than harm.
“Ukiwa mentally stable ama mentally okay, unafaa unatuma messages za encouragement because hawa ni watoto wamepoteza mtoto wao, sana sana, mama. Unajua mama ana play part kubwa sana kwa life yao,” he explained the important role of a parent or guardian in a child’s life.

“Then you, akili yako inakuonyesha uongelelee mtoto wa 13 years. The other boy ako, 6…7 maybe. I hiyo kwangu hai sit right because mimi ni mzazi na mtoto wangu ashawai fanyiwa the same thing,” he said.
Mr Seed recalled seeing harmful comments multiple times and says it is unacceptable to target vulnerable children online.
Mr Seed calls on social media users to rethink their actions and offer encouragement instead of criticism. He stresses that children need protection, especially after losing a parent. He hopes his message will remind adults of their responsibility to shield minors from online abuse and ensure that vulnerable children grow up in a safer environment.
