Moving away from the past: How Naipei has become a pillar in Kanyari’s church
Marion Naipei, who went viral after a controversial video of her with a man in a Nairobi club, has become a pillar in Prophet Victor Kanyari’s church and online presence, rising above the saga as she charts a new path.
Kanyari embraced Naipei at the height of the scandal and fiercely defended her as they struck a partnership that has outlived the scandal and continues to create waves on social media.
Like the preacher, Naipei has made peace with her past, embracing a new persona that is currently dedicated to serving in Kanyari’s Salvation Healing Ministries.
By teaming up with the preacher, Naipei formed a formidable pair, with Naipei becoming a pillar of the preacher’s activities and social media presence in the following ways.
Light-hearted banter during sermons
Kanyari’s sermons are often punctuated by light-hearted banter in which the self-styled prophet addresses trending topics.
The social media personality has found her place in Kanyari’s preachings, as she often joins the preacher during such moments, with a microphone assigned to her and her voice very clear.

“Yes, Daddy” is a frequent phrase used by her during sermons, with her voice rising above the rest while responding to statements made by Kanyari.
In cases where the preacher needs actual demonstration, Naipei has frequently been called to join him on the pulpit, as was the case when the pair took part in the “Weka Mawe” challenge at the height of its fame.
Joining charity initiatives
The mother of one has also been embedded into the charity initiatives rolled out by the preacher.
From accompanying Kanyari as he interacts with the community, making donations and connecting with his congregants as well as those around him, her presence has been conspicuous.
A video shared by Kanyari on his social media profiles on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, shows her actively taking part in a food distribution exercise at the church located in Njiru.
Worship sessions and church activities
She also appears to have found her place within the church, where she has become a very active member.
“Dada Marion received me today as I worshipped at Kanyari’s Salvation Healing Ministry,” he wrote after the warm welcome, which highlighted one of the roles played by the mother of one at the church.
Applying olive oil to believers
Kanyari shared a video on his TikTok account on February 12, 2026, showing her pouring anointing oil on a section of Kanyari’s church members’ legs during a church service.
Kanyari boldly declared that he had officially entrusted Marion with the role of pouring oil on other members of his church as part of the service, adding that there is no limit to someone who had a troubled past getting saved and receiving Christ, emphasising that nothing can stand in the way of true salvation or a renewed relationship with God.

“Marion Naipei anointing fellow church members. What is that thing that will bar a relationship between my Saviour?” The preacher wrote, affirming his stance on redemption and spiritual transformation.
This significant role made Naipei a pillar of Kanyari’s mission, a role which she executed with precision while kneeling down and carefully applying the oil on the congregants in a calm manner.
