Mosiria gives advice to partners as Vasha comes alive with Safari Rally action

By , March 14, 2026

Geoffrey Mosiria has told people to call partners who claim they are upcountry but might actually be in Naivasha for the ongoing Safari Rally Kenya.

His remarks came as the rally attracted large crowds travelling to the area for the motorsport event.

Mosiria jokingly suggested that some people might be telling their partners they travelled for family meetings upcountry while they are actually attending the rally in Naivasha in a post on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

“Nini hiyo naskia iko VASHA ? Majamaa hii ni time ya Subaru boys pale Vasha Kujinice,” he said.

He went on to advise people to verify such claims by calling their partners.

“Hebu piga Simu Ocha kwa kina mtu wako alikudanganya ako ushago family meeting but ako Wapi ……..?” he added.

Mosiria said calling more than once could reveal the truth if the person avoids answering.

“MCall twice akikata jua umechezwa Kama Man U …..” he said.

Safari Rally returns to Naivasha

The Safari Rally Kenya returned to Kenya for the 2026 season, and the event runs from Thursday, March 12, to Sunday, March 15, 2026.

This year’s rally marks the sixth edition since the competition returned to the World Rally Championship calendar in 2021 after a long break. The rally had been absent from the championship for 19 years before its return.

Unlike earlier editions that featured urban starts in Nairobi, the 2026 rally focuses entirely on the Great Rift Valley region. The event is centred around Lake Naivasha.

The rally includes 20 special stages across challenging terrain known for testing drivers and vehicles. Some of the stages pass through areas such as Kedong and Sleeping Warrior.

The rough terrain and unpredictable conditions have made the Safari Rally one of the most demanding events in the championship calendar. Drivers often face dust, mud and rocky sections during the race.

Since its return in 2021, the rally has continued to attract large numbers of spectators travelling to Naivasha to watch the action. The event has become one of the major motorsport attractions in Kenya.

Mosiria’s remarks came in the middle of the excitement surrounding the rally. His comments highlighted the travel to Naivasha during the event, as many people head to the area to watch the races and enjoy the atmosphere around the competition.

With the excitement building up, 1,000 police officers have also been deployed to ensure the security of rally enthusiasts.
