Mosiria calls for assistance to trace family of mentally distressed woman seen in Nairobi CBD

Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has asked the public to help trace the family of a woman found at the front of Aghro House along Moi Avenue, Nairobi, who is believed to be mentally unwell and in need of assistance.
In a statement shared on his Instagram on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Mosiria said the woman appears to be in distress and urged anyone who may know her or her relatives to come forward so she can be taken to the right care facility.

The appeal followed a message from a member of the public who raised concern about the woman’s condition while she was at the busy city location. The report described her as mentally disturbed and suggested that she urgently needed help.
“Please help us trace the family members of this lady someone just shared in my inbox as shown below : Good afternoon brother. This woman looks mentally disturbed would you please help in a way so that she can be taken to the right facility. She’s currently at the front of Aghro House moi avenue,’ Mosiria stated.
The incident unfolded in one of Nairobi’s busiest streets, where crowds move quickly, and it is easy for vulnerable people to go unnoticed despite being in plain sight.
Mosiria has in recent months been vocal on issues affecting street families and child welfare, often using his platforms to push for rescue interventions and public accountability.
