Miss Grand Thailand contestant experiences dental mishap during live broadcast
By William Muthama, March 28, 2026An unexpected moment briefly disrupted the polished glamour of the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 preliminaries after a contestant’s teeth slipped out mid-speech during a live broadcast.
Eighteen-year-old Kamolwan Chanago was introducing herself on stage in Bangkok when her delivery suddenly faltered. As she spoke into the microphone, her words became unclear, with viewers quickly noticing her dental set had shifted.
According to a report by the New York Post, the incident happened in real time as the event was being streamed live on the GrandTV YouTube channel on Friday, March 27, 20206, leaving no room for edits or a restart.

Footage circulating online shows the beauty pageant pausing briefly and turning slightly away from the audience, appearing to adjust or remove the dislodged piece. The interruption lasted only a few seconds before she resumed her stage walk.
Dressed in a sequined gown paired with a flowing, feathered cape, she continued across the stage as cameras remained fixed on her. The audience watched closely as she completed her presentation without further interruption.

Organisers later addressed the incident, offering more clarity on what had happened.
“During her on-stage introduction, Kamolwan Chanago experienced a minor and unexpected incident in which her veneer teeth became dislodged,” a Miss Grand International spokesperson said.
They added that the competition proceeded smoothly despite the brief disruption.
The clip has since gained traction across social media, sparking mixed reactions. Some viewers focused on the awkwardness of the moment, while others questioned whether she had been wearing veneers, dentures, or a removable dental accessory.
Despite the online chatter, the competition itself moved on without delay. The Miss Grand Thailand winner is expected to be crowned on Saturday, with the titleholder set to represent the country at the international finals in India later this year.
