Manzi Wa Mombasa warns Marion Naipei against anointing people at Kanyari’s church
By Steve Ireri, April 29, 2026Content creator Manzi wa Mombasa has publicly cautioned social media personality Marion Naipei over her conduct at Salvation Healing Ministry, warning her against anointing people while still engaging in behaviours she described as inconsistent with church teachings.
Speaking during an interview with MC Fagilia on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Manzi wa Mombasa expressed concern over Marion’s role in the church under the leadership of pastor Victor Kanyari, saying that spiritual responsibilities should be handled with seriousness and integrity.
“Marion, I love you; you are my friend, but please stop anointing people. Please, please. It’s good to tell your friend the truth if you love them, so I am telling you that,” she said.
She said that while she considers Marion a friend, she felt compelled to speak out of concern, insisting that correcting someone publicly can still be an act of love.
She went on to claim that she had recently stepped away from church attendance, explaining that she felt she was not in the right spiritual condition at the time.
According to her, she had made the decision after what she described as personal struggles, adding that she chose not to attend church on a particular Saturday because she felt she had fallen short of her own moral expectations.
“That is why I recently quit going to church because I knew I had a lot of dry spells, and that Saturday I slept with my girlfriend the whole night. So when I woke up, I thought I should not go to church because I knew I had sinned a lot,” she shared.

Manzi further warned Marion against what she termed as joking with God, urging her to be more careful when taking up spiritual roles such as anointing congregants, especially if she is still dealing with personal challenges.
“So Marion, I love you so much, but please stop anointing people while drinking alcohol and also doing those other bad things women do to please their bodies in private,” she added.
Trending video
Previously, K24 Digital reported that Naipei became a hot topic online after a video surfaced showing her pouring anointing oil on a section of Kanyari’s church members’ legs during a church service.
In a video shared by Kanyari on TikTok on Thursday, February 12, 2026, Marion, who went viral after a controversial video of her with a man in a Nairobi club went viral, is seen kneeling down and carefully applying the oil on the congregants in a calm manner.
In the video, worship music is heard playing softly in the background as more and more congregants lined up to receive the anointing from her.

Members of the church had to remove their shoes first before approaching her to receive the anointing, and each, according to the video, is seen sitting on a seat as the ritual is administered to them.
Kanyari’s message
While sharing the video on TikTok, Kanyari confirmed that he had officially entrusted Marion with the role of pouring oil on other members of his church as part of the service.
He also shared that there is no limit to someone who has had a troubled past getting saved and receiving Christ, emphasising that nothing can stand in the way of true salvation or a renewed relationship with God.
“Marion Naipei anointing fellow church members. What is that thing that will bar a relationship between my Saviour?” the preacher wrote, affirming his stance on redemption and spiritual transformation.
