List of celebrities who attended Ruto’s meeting with UDA aspirants at State House
President William Ruto hosted United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party aspirants at State House on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
The event brought together more than 12,000 aspirants keen on clinching the party ticket to contest for various elective seats in the country.
Apart from familiar political heavyweights, the lineup also featured several celebrities eyeing elective seats.
Below are some of the celebrities who attended the meeting as they prepare for a bruising political battle, with some making their debut and others returning after previous attempts.
Jaymo Ule Msee
Comedian and content creator Wilson Muirani Gathoni, popularly known as Jaymo Ule Msee, attended the UDA aspirants’ meeting just a day after announcing he would be vying for the Nairobi Senator seat in 2027.
The comedian had earlier exited the race, citing guidance received from elders and the need to focus on his journey of faith after converting to Islam.

He blamed what he called dark forces working through elders who advised him to drop his political ambitions.
“I was attacked by dark forces in the form of elders who I now realise were not experts in politics. They gave advice based on their insecurities, not on constructive experience,” Jaymo said in a video shared on his Instagram on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
MC Jessy
Comedian Jasper Muthomi, popularly known as MC Jessy, has revived his political ambitions, going by his presence at State House as Ruto hosted the aspirants.
The comedian was seen alongside Jaymo Ule Msee at the event, seated among other aspirants wearing yellow caps and scarves branded in UDA party logo and name.

Jessy unsuccessfully contested for the South Imenti parliamentary seat in the 2022 general election.
Mary Biketi
Mary Biketi, the girlfriend of Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, has interest in clinching an elective seat in the country, and UDA is her party of choice.
While Oparanya who serves in Ruto’s government, was an official of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and has in the past delved into party matters, Biketi’s presence at the event reflects her choice to chart a political path away from the shadow of Oparanya and the ODM party.

The philanthropist shared a photo showing her with other aspirants at State House.
Silas Jakakimba
The city lawyers was among those who attended the meeting at State House and shared photos taken at the event on his X account.

The meeting was exclusively for aspirants, and his presence at the event, draped in UDA colours is an indication of his political ambitions.
