Karangu Muraya moved after ailing singer he once helped sends him heartfelt note

Kigooco singer and Facebook influencer Karangu Muraya has expressed deep emotion after receiving a heartfelt message from singer Ann Kariuki, whom he had previously supported.
The message came at a time when Karangu has been facing intense online criticism following a controversial fundraiser.
In the message, which Karangu unveiled on his Facebook page on Sunday, December 28, 2025, the singer praised him for his resilience and faith, acknowledging the impact of his ministry.
“My brother, enemies of progress and good work will try to stop you, crucify you, fight you,” she wrote.
She wrote that God had given him a mission to help others, noting that many had been healed, supported in treatment, or even provided with homes through his initiatives.
She encouraged him to remain steadfast despite opposition, insults, and online attacks, reminding him that the challenges he faces are part of God’s plan and that the ultimate victory belongs to Him.
“But the God who gave you that ministry will fight for you. May God never let them succeed. If it were not for that ministry God gave you, some of us wouldn’t have gotten help,” she wrote.

She urged Karangu to continue his work for the people who need him most, emphasising that even helping one more person makes the struggle worthwhile.
“But through you, many have gotten healed through sourcing money for their treatment, and many have gotten a place to call their own home, like me. Mine is to continue praying that God will continue strengthening you and give you His peace and courage to continue fulfilling the mission that God put in you. It’s not over until God says it’s over! Be strong like Joshua. God called you for a time such as this. I know many people of goodwill are praying for you. Even amidst storms, remember JESUS IS IN THE BOAT! Fight on, brother, for souls that the devil wants to destroy and put in the grave,” she added.
Karangu shared the message on social media, revealing that it brought him comfort during a period of intense online scrutiny.
He recalled the work they had done together last year for Ann Kariuki, which had a positive impact on her and others, and said he felt compelled to share her message with his followers.
“Last year by God’s grace we did this for our beautiful sister Ann Kariuki (Gikombe)… I have received her message this evening, and I have felt it’s worth sharing Dear Lord, may glory and honour be unto your holy Name,” Karangu wrote.

The timing of Kariuki’s note coincides with a controversy that has engulfed Karangu online.
The uproar began after he travelled to India, accompanying rising musician Njeru Thiga. While there, he visited Mama Gift, an Embu TikToker who had her child hospitalised, and organised an online fundraiser to support the baby’s care.
Kenyans donated over Ksh1.1 million to the cause.
However, the campaign came under scrutiny when a photo of a baby in ICU that Mama Gift had shared from India resurfaced.
Some netizens alleged that the child was not hers as claimed, accusing Karangu of misleading the public.
The situation led to sections of social media branding him a conman, and he has since faced significant online bullying and attacks on his character.
