Salvation Healing Ministries founder Victor Kanyari paused a service mid-way to settle a debt on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

The self-styled preacher was on the pulpit delivering a sermon when he spotted a woman who had asked him for money among the congregants.

Saying that the woman had asked for a small amount of money, Kanyari whipped out crisp notes and handed them to the woman, boldly declaring to the congregation that it amounted to ten thousand shillings.

Na wewe ulikuwa umeniomba pesa kidogo, ndio hii ten thousand (You had asked for a small amount of money and here is ten thousand shillings for you),” the preacher said.

The elated woman shouted “amen”, referring to the preacher as “daddy”.

Kanyari explains delay

Kanyari shared a video of his encounter with the woman, revealing that she had asked for money a while back, but he had not honoured the request.

Explaining that he had forgotten, Kanyari stated that the financial request amounted to a debt which he settled mid-service.

“Huyu ameniomba pesa kwa muda nikisahau. Tafadhali niruhusu nimalize deni lake leo.Miss Rukia,” he wrote.

The self-styled preacher has been on a charity spree, splashing money to help members of his community amid speculation that he is preparing to make his debut in politics.

His generous gifting has earned him praises from many, including from Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, who has praised the preacher for using the proceeds of the Ksh310 saga to empower his community.

Mosiria praises Kanyari

According to Mosiria, who worshipped in the church on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Kanyari rose above the scandal to be a pillar in his community.

“Zakayo (pastor Kanyari) has decided to return what he obtained unlawfully (panda mbegu ya 310) and is now using it to help the less fortunate in society. In his church, nobody gives offerings; instead, they receive support from him (310),” Mosiria stated.

“This reflects the true modern Zakayo, a life of repentance and transformation. Not many people appreciate those who speak the truth, but after listening to Pastor Kanyari, I noted that he is genuinely giving back to society in the same way Biblical Zakayo did,” He added.
