Vocal businesswoman and public figure Sarah Mtalii has delivered a bold and emotional message to women in toxic marriages, urging them to prioritise self-love and personal growth.

Speaking candidly, in a video shared on her official Instagram account on Monday, February 23, 2026, Sarah sympathised with women going through difficult relationships and marriages.

Apart from sympathising with them, the businesswoman also encouraged them not to lose themselves in the process.

“If you are in a toxic marriage, poleni sana lakini jiamni jipende na jibambe,” Sarah sympathised.

She stressed that if a partner has chosen to accommodate someone else in their life, women should focus on protecting their peace rather than sinking into depression.

Additionally, Sarah added that as long as the man is not violent and the other woman does not interfere with them, women in such situations should focus on guarding their peace.

“This is somebody else’s decision, and they have decided they are going to accommodate somebody else in their life,” she added.

“As long as they have not come to your space, as long as huyo mtu aletwi kwako, huchapwi vita, you should do better than killing yourself or going into depression.”

Self-love

Sarah, who recently got a divorce from her husband, Simon Kabu, further advised women who do not believe in polygamous marriages to make firm decisions about their future.

Kama wewe si wa sharing, oga, rudi soko na kama wewe si wa sharing, know how you will start loving yourself and move, and how you are going to show up for your children, yourself and your career or business otherwise,” she added.

She also cautioned against suffering in silence, warning women not to let toxic situations push them into emotional breakdowns or self-destructive behaviour.

Hii story ya kusoak in tears, crying day and night, na tukikupata mortuary ama ukikunywa antidepressant as a married woman, we will beat you proper,” Sarah added.
