Veteran radio presenter Jeridah Andayi has said that the majority of men do not change their bad characters, but instead become worse over time.

She stated on Thursday, February 12, 2026, that many women believe men will improve, yet the reality is different. Jeridah said women should be careful and realistic when choosing partners.

“The majority of men don’t change their bad characters; they get worse,” she said.

She explained that when she talks about character, she means bad character. According to her, the problem is not small habits but serious traits that women already struggle with in relationships.

Jeridah said, “The majority of men do not change their bad habits, do not change their bad characters, they do not change the bad character you do not approve of.”

She added that instead of changing, many men simply learn how to manage those behaviours around their partners.

Understanding bad character in relationships

Jeridah explained that some men adjust their behaviour temporarily but remain the same.

“They only get better at managing those characters around you,” she said.

She noted that over time, they become comfortable and may even behave worse.

“And they eventually… they get comfortable in doing worse things are you because now you are with them,” she said.

Jeridah stated that once a man feels secure in a relationship, he may believe the woman is not about to leave. She urged women to think carefully about their choices.

“So, pick your hard,” she said. Jeridah suggested that every relationship has challenges, but women must decide what they are willing to live with.

She also addressed the common question about why women stay in such situations.

“And you ask, oh, why do women stay,” she said.

Jeridah explained that many women hold on because they believe things will improve.

“We will stay because women always see the potential,” she said.

She added that women often imagine that a man is going to get better with time. However, her message was that a bad character rarely disappears.

She maintained that women should not ignore red flags with the hope that someone will change. Instead, she encouraged them to accept what they see and make decisions based on reality.
