‘It’s a sin to fight your parents!’ – Muhoozi quotes Bible while honouring his dad and mom

President Yoweri Museveni’s son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, on Thursday, January 23, 2026, lit the internet after posting a photo of a young President Yoweri Museveni.

Through his X account, the general posted an old photo of both his father, the President, and his mother, the First Lady, looking relaxed on a couch.

Accompanying the post, Muhoozi referenced people to respect their parents, as it is a sin to fight them.

“Mzee and Mama, when they were still young kids themselves. Godbless them forever. The Bible says it’s a sin to fight your parents,” Muhoozi wrote.

Ever since the Ugandan general elections, Muhoozi has been hitting the headlines over his controversial tweets on social media.

At one point, he erupted with a bunch of posts on x highlighting how they had been able to take out 22 supporters of the opposition party and how there will be more in the future.

Bobi Wine’s complaints against Muhoozi

He also posted about plans to arrest and torture the presidential elections 1st runner up, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, famously known as Bobi Wine, before openly mocking him online.

Bobi Wine, who is currently in hiding, stated that army men had been stationed outside his house and had blocked food from reaching his family.

“Last night, as Museveni’s son was making these threats to kill me and gloating over killing 22 of our supporters (in reality, he has killed over 100 since last week), the military, who are stationed inside our compound, yet again banged on my house doors as they sang profanities, ordering the occupants to come out of the house if they’re men. The people at my home say the criminals seemed to be drunk,” Wine posted.

“We demand that the military vacate our home immediately. My wife and I are not safe. They’re starving after these criminals blocked food from reaching them. They cut the padlocks off our gates and replaced them with chains. FREE UGANDA NOW,” concluded the post.
