IShowSpeed reveals what he plans to do when he arrives in Kenya

American streamer iShowSpeed has announced some of the activities he intends to participate in once he arrives in Kenya ahead of his highly anticipated tour.
In a live stream on his YouTube channel on Monday, January 5, 2026, iShowSpeed revealed his plans to do a safari live stream once he lands in Kenya.
“Damn! We are doing a live safari stream in Kenya,” IShowSpeed announced.
Worth noting, IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr, kicked off his highly anticipated 28-day, continent-spanning African tour, dubbed Speed Does Africa, on December 29, 2025, in Angola, where he was welcomed by throngs of fans and engaged in spontaneous street challenges and viral live-stream moments.
It was during this stop that he celebrated a major milestone, hitting 47 million subscribers on YouTube, which he marked with fans in the streets.
The tour then progressed to Mozambique on January 3, 2026, where he was greeted by excited crowds in the capital, attempted traditional pot-balancing, joined a local dance troupe, and marvelled at the country’s beauty.
Kenya is among the over 20 countries iShowSpeed is set to visit during this multi-country tour, which streams live daily on YouTube and Twitch.
The tour continues to generate global attention, combining entertainment, cultural immersion, and community engagement across the continent.
Director Trevor’s request to IShowSpeed
Meanwhile, content strategist Director Trevor has offered a detailed roadmap of culturally immersive, fun, and viral-ready activities that American streamer iShowSpeed should experience during his upcoming visit to Kenya.
In a post shared on Instagram on Saturday, January 3, 2026, as anticipation builds around the streamer’s Kenyan leg of the 28-day, multi-country African tour, Trevor outlined ten must-do experiences that he believes align perfectly with iShowSpeed’s energetic content style and interactive approach.
According to Trevor, iShowSpeed should start by racing Kenya’s fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala, creating an unforgettable sporting moment that would resonate with both local and international audiences.
“As a content strategist who understands Speed’s content and brand concept, this is what I think he should do in Kenya: 1. Race with Omanyala,” he wrote.
He further suggested that the streamer take part in a traditional Maasai welcome dance, immersing himself in one of Kenya’s most celebrated cultural rituals.
“2. Maasai traditional welcome dance,” he added.
Trevor also recommended that iShowSpeed engage with the country’s youth by participating in a TikTok challenge with children from Mathare.
Other experiences on Trevor’s list include tasting delicacies from roaming chefs across the country, trying the Isikuti dance, and experiencing the iconic Nganya matatu rides, activities that would not only entertain viewers but also provide a real glimpse into everyday Kenyan culture.

Trevor further advised iShowSpeed to explore Kenyan street food, participate in the Gen Z social media phenomenon “Goliath Aonekane Mahali”, and take a city tour of Nairobi, which could include Nairobi National Park and other prominent landmarks.
