IShowSpeed reacts after Mr Beast claims he is set to welcome a baby
American streamer Darren Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, has reacted with shock and disbelief after YouTube star Mr Beast claimed during a livestream that he is set to welcome a baby.
The announcement came as part of a playful segment on Saturday, February 28, 2026, where Beast said that Speed had a major personal announcement to make and described it as a cause for celebration.

“Speed had a huge announcement to make, and the announcement is that he is having a baby. And we are here to celebrate,” Mr Beast said.
Speed appeared taken aback and responded sarcastically, questioning the sequence of events he believed should lead to such an announcement.
He noted that engagement and marriage typically precede parenthood.
He also joked about Mr Beast’s own age and implied that the announcement was being forced on him.
“Really now. You see, I feel like Mr Beast is projecting his insecurity onto me. But you see, before you get a baby, first you get engaged, then married, and after that, you get kids. And you see, MrBeast is 28, and I feel like now he’s taking action to have a baby. I am just saying, bro,” Speed responded sarcastically.
When asked about taking time off streaming after welcoming a newborn, IShowSpeed reiterated that no baby was on the way.
“Are you going to take months off streaming after you welcome your newborn?” Mr Beast asked.
However, he continued the playful interaction with his audience, even asking fans to suggest humorous names for the baby, mentioning that someone had suggested Ronaldo.
“Honestly, bro, why are you doing this? I have no baby coming. But you know what, chat? I want to announce in a sentimental way that Mr Beast has said I am having a baby. What should I name my baby, chat? Someone is saying Ronaldo,” Speed added.
The livestream soon moved to its main event, with Mr Beast clarifying that the baby announcement was not the actual reason for the broadcast.
The real focus, he said, was a gaming challenge featuring 50 of the biggest streamers in the world.
He revealed that IShowSpeed is set to co-host the event alongside him, with the winner of the game walking away with one million dollars.
“Actually, Speed having a baby is not the main reason why we are here. The reason is that we have 50 of the biggest streamers in the world, and Speed is going to co-host it with me. We will do a game, and the winner who walks out of the NAQ will win one million dollars,” Mr Beast added.
