IShowSpeed pays visit to Bob Marley’s house during Caribbean tour stop in Jamaica

American streamer IShowSpeed has visited reggae legend Bob Marley’s house in Jamaica during his ongoing tour of the Caribbean.

The streamer visited the historic residence on Saturday, May 9, 2026, and was warmly received by the late “The Sun Is Shining” hitmaker’s grandchildren, who urged him to feel at home and explore the property and surrounding neighbourhood to his fullest extent.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Speed is seen being taken around various sections of the home, including a mango tree where Bob Marley used to meditate and compose his music.

The tree is located at the back porch of the house, and in memory of the celebrated musician, a large portrait of Bob Marley has been mounted nearby in his honour.

Speed is then seen posing for pictures beneath the tree, visibly excited and expressing joy at being able to witness such historic and cultural landmarks during his Caribbean tour.

Further, the streamer is also taken inside the house where Bob Marley grew up, and he reacts with amazement, describing the experience as surreal and hard to believe.

He sees various music records and discs displayed on the walls as part of the home’s preserved heritage, and is also taken to the studio where Bob Marley once worked, observing what remains of the legendary recording space.

During the visit, Bob Marley’s grandchild also showed Speed a room where the reggae icon was once shot while he was rehearsing in the studio, and he reacted with shock upon learning the details and seeing the exact location where the incident took place.

“In this room is where my grandfather got shot. He was rehearsing when some gunmen came, and they surrounded this room, and they shot him,” the granddaughter said.

“Wait, here? You mean the bullet shot through the concrete wall? Oh, this is the bullet hole. So Marley was actually in this room,” Speed said.

Dominican stream

Before Jamaica Speed had been in the Dominican Republic, where he achieved his biggest livestream audience ever after 1.9 million fans joined his stream.

This happened on Thursday, May 7, 2026, where just minutes after starting the stream, a staggering 1.1 million fans had already joined the broadcast, instantly shattering his previous record for the highest number of people to ever tune into his livestream simultaneously.

In the video, which is still available on his YouTube channel, the 21-year-old streamer is seen jumping in excitement and saying he could not believe he had broken the record in a small Caribbean country like the Dominican Republic.

“Oh, I can’t believe it. We have 1 million people in the chat. One million viewers is crazy. Shout out to the Dominican Republic,” he said.

At that point, Speed, who never expected such a reception, was overwhelmed with emotion and is seen in the video hugging his bodyguard Rudi while wiping away tears.

Rudi, in turn, gave him a warm embrace but urged him to regain his composure so the stream could continue.

“It’s okay, bro, go on. You may go on, it’s okay,” Rudi said to the streamer.

As if the online numbers were not enough, the excitement also translated physically as thousands of citizens from the island nation flooded the streets, trailing his convoy in massive crowds, while others rode motorbikes in an attempt to catch a glimpse of him.

By the time the stream reached around four hours, the number of people watching live had already climbed to 1.6 million, and Speed kept reacting emotionally, saying he was setting a completely new record.

At that moment, he was standing on top of a car and appeared lost for words after one of his team members showed him the number of people who were still following the livestream.

“Are you serious right now? 1.6 million, wow,” he said.
