Comedian and digital content creator David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, and his baby mama, Carrol Muthoni, widely known as Carrol Sonie, recently reunited following their bitter breakup.

In a video posted on their Instagram accounts on Monday, December 15, 2025, the former shared a candid and light-hearted conversation that gave fans a glimpse into their current lives.

During their reunion, Mulamwah opened up about his focus these days after Sonie asked him if he is still into comedy.

Do you do comedy ama uliwacha?” Sonie asked.

“Nowadays I am more into business stuff; comedy, unajua ni ya upcoming ukiona mtu ni funny ndio anaanza,” Mulamwah answered.

Mulamwah on the meet-up

According to the stand-up comedian, it was Sonie who first reached out and initiated the meet-up.

He said he could hardly believe that she had called him to request an interview for her YouTube show.

Niliona simu and I was like, ni mtu nilisave vibaya ama nini? then you spoke and we are here,” he disclosed.

On the other hand, the mother of one stated the condition she had set before engaging with her baby daddy.

“I told you something; I think I will only meet you the moment nikishaona umekuwa mature kidogo, you know I cannot sit down nikusikilize ukisema vitu fulani,” Sonnie stated.

The meet-up comes after Mulamwah, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, admitted that he was confused after Sonnie liked one of his posts shared on Instagram reels.

Mulamwah on Sonnie

The former radio host, on March 29, 2025, opened up about his current relationship with Sonie.

Speaking during an interview, Mulamwah explained that the efforts to reconcile had unfolded as they did, emphasising that he held no ill will over the failed attempt to mend fences.

He also expressed hope that things would work out in the future.

According to him, the success of such matters is dependent on the approach one takes, and he believes he has made sufficient strides towards reconciliation, achieving some progress, albeit not on a grand scale.

“Reunion ni kitu itafanyika with time. It’s about the coping mechanism, and people have different ones. So ni duty yako. I believe step zenye tumemake ni mingi na tutafika, lakini hatutaki kurudi huko nyuma,” he shared.

Mulamwah further noted that what matters most for now is whether both parties are doing well, adding that if they are, then they are on the right path for now, as everything will eventually fall into place.

He also subtly hinted that, at times, when a partner appears to be acting out, it could be a result of the emotional strain from their separation. Mulamwah shared that he constantly prays, hoping his relationship with his baby mama and their child will unfold as he wishes.

“As long as everybody is doing well, hiyo ndiyo maana. Unajua, sometimes kuna scientist alisema sodium is very reactive ikiwa peke yake. So kuna vitu zikiwa peke yake hukuwa different. Sometimes things may work, and other times they may not, but you keep praying. In the coming years, I hope things will fall into place,” he said.

The former couple had a bitter breakup just a few months after the birth of their daughter.
