I saw darkness: Sammy Boy recounts scary fall near IShowSpeed

The incident happened on Sunday, January 11, 2026, during IShowSpeed’s highly publicised visit to Nairobi.
The clip, widely shared on social media, shows Sammy Boy alongside comedian Jaymoh Decin attempting to get close to the YouTube star as he interacts with fans at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). In the footage, IShowSpeed appears to push them during the brief encounter, causing both men to lose balance and fall to the ground, drawing mixed reactions from viewers.
Following the online uproar, Sammy Boy addressed the incident through his Instagram stories, downplaying the moment and urging fans not to take it too seriously. He acknowledged that the situation was intense but described it as part of the day’s events, adding that there was no bad blood and that they were later able to laugh about it.
“The moment speed overpowered Jaymohdecin and me on a single push during an interaction between two. I almost saw the dark. its okay, guys, it’s part of the day. I feel your emotions, but trust me,e we are laughing out here, don’t take everything seriously,” he stated.
The incident occurred amid IShowSpeed’s electrifying visit to Kenya as part of his ongoing Africa tour. The American streamer, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., arrived in the country to massive crowds, with fans trailing him through various parts of Nairobi as he livestreamed his experiences.
During his stay, IShowSpeed visited several locations, including schools, public spaces and tourist sites, while sampling Kenyan culture and food. His Kenya livestream attracted hundreds of thousands of viewers globally and triggered a major surge in subscribers, making the country one of the most impactful stops on his Africa tour so far.
