Tanzanian music superstar Rajabu Abdulkahali Ibrahim, widely known as Harmonize has touched down in Nairobi ahead of the much-anticipated sixth edition of the Old School Bongo event, bringing a mix of nostalgia and modern energy to the Kenyan stage.

Speaking to digital content creators on Saturday night, April 4, 2026, at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport upon arrival, Harmonize expressed his excitement about returning to Kenya.

Wasee mambo vipi? The energy is up and I feel good to be back here,it feels like home always,” Harmonize said.

“Gen Z, it is time to know where we started. Please come and enjoy. I am super excited to see everyone.”

On the show

The Bongo star also shared his admiration for the Kenyan legends he will be sharing the stage with, including Nameless and Mejja

Mimi nadhani hii show itakuwa wakati wangu pia kujifunza kwa sababu ukizungumuzia mtu kama Nameless, he is my brother and he has been doing this long time, mimi pia nitajifunza kushare stage na mtu kama Mejja it is a pleasure, ni watu ambao wametuinspire sisi wengine,” he stated.

Kwangu mimi nimepata platform special kwa sababu wao ni legends na mimi bado mdogo.”

Before his arrival

Before arriving in Nairobi, Harmonize, in a video shared on his official Instagram account, had reached out to his Kenyan fans to confirm his attendance, promising a show filled with energy and fun.

“My Nairobi people, to confirm that I will be coming for the Old School Bongo my brothers and sisters in Kenya, let’s have fun it is going to be lit,” Harmonize stated.

Old School Bongo event

The event will take place on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Cavalli @ The Manor in Westlands, Nairobi, with doors opening at 2:00 PM.

Old School Bongo 6.0 is brought to you by Cavalli Events in partnership with Naivibe. The event will feature an electrifying mix of Bongo Flava, Genge, Afropop, and regional hits.

The venue’s design, blending comfortable indoor seating with open-air spaces, creates a versatile concert environment perfect for hosting large, energetic crowds.

“Doors open: 2:00 PM. Venue: Cavalli @ The Manor, Westlands Road, opposite CFC Stanbic Bank, “Old School Bongo’s organisers stated.

“Music styles: Bongo Flava, Genge, Afropop, and regional hits. Indoor and outdoor stages for performances”

Harmonize will be performing alongside Kenya’s veteran musicians, including Mejja and Nameless.
