Tanzanian sensation Harmonize has ignited a fresh firestorm in the Bongo Flava world after his latest single ‘Leo’ featuring Mbosso, sprinted to the top of the YouTube Music charts, leaving his arch-rival and former mentor Diamond Platnumz in the digital dust.

Taking to Instagram on Friday evening, March 6, 2026, a defiant Harmonize, known to his fans as ‘Konde Boy’, couldn’t hide his delight as he shared a series of celebratory posts highlighting his track’s explosive buzz compared to Diamond’s mid-February release, ‘Natulizana’.

While Diamond’s ‘Natulizana’ has enjoyed a comfortable three-week streak at the top of the general trending charts, Harmonize’s ‘Leo’ has achieved something few can: a total takeover of the platform’s immediate buzz.

Within just six hours of the music video’s release, the track hit a staggering 500,000 views, a milestone that Harmonize was quick to flaunt to his 10 million-plus followers.

“WE BACK HOME ..!!!” Harmonize captioned music chart showing his song’s dominance.

The success of ‘Leo’ is more than just a numbers game; it is a significant jab in the ongoing competitive narrative between Harmonize and his former boss at WCB Wasafi, Diamond Platnumz.

Since Harmonize’s acrimonious exit from the label years ago, the two have been locked in a battle for the soul of Tanzanian music.

While Diamond remains the undisputed ;King of Views’ globally, Harmonize’s ability to generate more immediate buzz suggests the tide may be turning with the younger demographic.

Critics have noted that featuring Mbosso, who was also signed to Diamond’s label, was a masterstroke by Harmonize, effectively using a piece of the Wasafi machinery to outshine its own leader.

Social media has since erupted into a frenzy, with fans of both camps, Konde Gang and Wasafi, trading barbs over whose ‘No. 1’ spot carries more weight.

For now, Harmonize is basking in the glow of the sunset and the glare of his smartphone screen, proving that in the world of Bongo Flava, ‘today’ (Leo) belongs to him.
