Comedian Eric Omondi has concluded the third day of his walk from Nairobi to Busia.

The philanthropist endured harsh weather, including a heavy downpour, thunderstorm and lightning to make it to Kericho where he paused for the night.

A video shared by Omondi shows him walking through the town with his sizeable procession, braving the heavy rains on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

He is seen in high spirits, interacting with residents along the busy roads amid a heavy downpour.

The comedian reaffirmed his commitment to the mission in a statement on social media, vowing to make his dream of establishing a help and rescue centre a reality.

Tumefika KERICHO!!! Even through Thunderstorms and Lightnings we will get to Busia. No obstacle will stand in our way,” he stated.

Appeal for financial support

He appealed for support to build a rescue centre, stating that upon being established, the facility will provide free healthcare and education to needy Kenyans.

“We will build the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre. We will soon provide FREE HEALTHCARE and EDUCATION to Vulnerable Kenyans. IT WILL HAPPEN!!!” Omondi stated.

He also shared information through which well-wishers can contribute to the course.

The philanthropist embarked on the five-day walk from Nairobi to Busia on Monday, March 2, 2026, ready to cover 366 kilometres after a similar initiative which saw him walk from Nairobi to Mombasa over a period of four days.

Several celebrities, including Kenyan sprint sensation Ferdinand Omanyala, Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh and social media sensation Azziad Nasenya joined him on the road on the first day of the walk.

Omondi’s bold vision

The noble initiative is aimed at raising additional funds for the project, with the comedian vowing to keep walking until the project, whose construction has begun, is completed.

“I walked to Mombasa and raised funds to begin this project. I will keep walking until the SISI KWA SISI help and rescue centre is complete.” He stated.

The facility will have a hospital, a school, a rescue centre, two ambulances as well as a warehouse and will be a key pillar of his charity initiatives.
