Dr Kingori: Pursuing wealth at very young age could be a curse

By , January 30, 2026

Media personality and comedian Felix Omondi, widely known as Dr King’ori, has warned that pursuing wealth at a very young age could be a curse.

In an Instagram video on Friday, January 30, 2026, he explained that people who come into a lot of money between the ages of 18 and 22 often face serious challenges.

“Kuomoka mapema, mapema, I mean the ages between 18 and 22 could be a curse of some sort,” he said.

He said age is not always a sign of maturity, and young people may not be ready to handle large amounts of money.

“There is a certain amount of money ikikupata at a certain age, and I also believe there is a disclaimer ya age is not a sign of maturity,” Dr Kingori explained.

He added that money itself requires a kind of maturity to manage properly.

Money at a young age can be dangerous

Dr Kingori said that coming into wealth too early can lead to serious problems.

“Most of us are not exposed to money principles at that age,” he said, stressing that without guidance, young people can make harmful decisions.

He added that there is a system where some young people get large amounts of money, but it often leads to disaster. He expressed that early wealth can affect personal growth and future stability.

“The legit crazy money between 18 and 22 always turns into a disaster. It can really mess you up,” he said.

Dr Kingori said young people need to learn how to handle money gradually, as it comes with responsibilities that many are not prepared for. His warning is a reminder that wealth is not always a blessing, especially for young people who lack experience.

He said that pursuing money too early can lead to stress, poor choices, and missed opportunities for growth. His advice is to focus on learning, personal development, and financial responsibility before chasing large sums of money at a young age.
