Diana Marua stuns Bahati with Ksh10M demand before agreeing to another baby

Kenyan celebrity couple Diana Marua and Kevin Bahati have once again drawn attention online following a candid and emotionally charged discussion about expanding their family.
In an exchange aired on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, on Diana Marua’s YouTube channel, Bahati openly expressed his desire to have another child, but not immediately.
He explained that he would prefer to wait about five years to build more wealth and achieve greater financial stability before welcoming another baby.
However, Diana was quick to challenge his perspective, questioning both the timing and the assumptions behind it.
“Babe, do you know I want another child?” Bahati told Diana.
“You think I am a delivering machine?” Diana answered.
“Can you give me a break? Wewe unafikiria pata mtoto ni kuamka tu, na ndio hiyo and then funga macho fungua mtoto ndio huyo umepata?“
“I do not want the baby right now; I want to get more money first and then get another child,” Bahati added.
“So unataka mtoto mwengine lini?” Diana asked.
“In another five years, I will be extremely rich,” Bahati answered.
“Five years?” Diana asked in surprise
“Yes,” Bahati answered.

“Five years nahata niko na hapa Watoto wangu wadogo sahi naona wanaenda kuniita shosh, unataka five years naitwa shosho nab ado niko na mimba nimebeba? Diana said.
“You will be like 40 years old,” Bahati answered.
What is wrong with you? Diana asked.
“Yes, the last one,” Bahati said.
Diana’s reasons for not wanting another child
Clearly frustrated, Diana pointed out the physical, emotional, and career-related demands that come with pregnancy and motherhood, emphasising that having a child is far from a simple or spontaneous decision.
She explained that she is still working to regain her body after her last pregnancy and is focused on maintaining her momentum professionally.
Do you know, after Malaika, nimemunyonyesha nimemaliza, and I have been going to the gym, I still struggle to lose the baby fat that I got, still struggling two-three years later. Diana said.
“I am at the peak of my career, and you cannot pull me back to ati nianze hapa na mambo ya pregnancy na kuenda clinics.”

On the other hand, Bahati, who needs another child, defended himself, stating that he has acquired a lot of wealth, enough to cater for 10 children.
“Sasa hatutazaa juu ya baby weight?” Bahati asked
“Giving birth is a blessing; again, I am not working hard to feed three, four, or five kids. I’m a hard worker, and Mimi mali ninaenda kuwa nayo. I need like ten.”
“Mimi nishapata hadi jina ya mtoto, nishaanza kujipanga mwaka gani juu ninajua ndio siku nitakuwa nimejaa.”
Diana’s demands
The conversation took a dramatic turn when Diana issued a bold ultimatum.
She stated that if Bahati truly wants another child, it must happen soon, by the end of the year. Otherwise, she would not consider having another baby in the future.
“I’m not giving you a child, and if you want a child, here is the ultimatum: if you want a child, I am ready to give you a child, but not in five years, and the only way I am going to give you that child, and I will start with when,” Diana stated.
“Huyu mtoto, by December 31 of this year, if I am not pregnant, forget about it, and it is not going to get it easy, you have to pay me to carry a child for you.”

In addition, the YouTuber further demanded Ksh10 million as compensation before agreeing to carry another pregnancy.
She argued that the process would come at a personal cost, affecting her body, career plans, and lifestyle.
“Mimi, I am not going to get pregnant if you haven’t paid me, because you are doing it against my will and I am not taking anything less than Ksh 10 million,” she added.
According to Diana, the payment would reflect the sacrifices she would be making, including pausing her ambitions and committing time and energy to raising another child.
“I am putting everything against my will to give you a child that you want, my career, body goals, my plans for the next two to three years to take care of Malaika’s sibling,” Diana noted.
