Dama wa Spares drops 5 must-follow rules for anyone aiming to win in 2026
By Steve Ireri, January 2, 2026Popular city businesswoman Damaris Muriithi, popularly known as Dama wa Spares, has shared a set of key principles she says anyone seeking success in 2026 should follow.
In a post shared on TikTok on Thursday, January 1, 2026, Dama encouraged her followers to approach the new year with focus, clarity, and strategic planning.
She urged people to start by carefully choosing who they allow into their lives, emphasising that the company one keeps can significantly influence personal and professional growth.
“Choose who chooses you and also know who chooses you, because the person you choose can either finish you anytime or build you up,” she said.

Dama also highlighted the importance of setting clear and measurable goals for the year ahead, stressing that ambition without a plan is unlikely to yield results.
She advised followers to understand the value of what they want, reminding them that knowing the importance of a goal makes it easier to pursue relentlessly.
“Set your goals and set your time limits, and know the worth of what you want in the year 2026,” she said.
The businesswoman further encouraged her audience to set strict timelines for achieving their objectives, creating a sense of urgency that drives consistency and commitment.
“Know the value of what you want and then set a time limit for what you want to achieve,” Dama said.
She also noted the critical role of building and maintaining a strong social network, pointing out that connections and relationships can open doors that hard work alone may not.
“Interact with people and build a wide network. Know people wherever you go. Prioritise social networking, know what they do, and know why they do what they do. Especially for businesspeople, learn to interact with others. Also, women, if there is a place where women are being taught new skills, go there. Don’t stay at work Monday to Friday; you can’t go anywhere if you are on your own,” Dama added.

The advice from the Dama Mobile Spares CEO comes just weeks after she left her fans thrilled after stepping out in elegant attire for her first public appearance since welcoming Baby Talia in September 2025.
Dama was attending the launch of a new company by a close friend, and in a video shared on TikTok on Saturday, December 6, 2025, she could be seen delivering a heartfelt speech to the attendees.
During her address, Dama expressed her excitement at being at the event and feeling at home in the presence of familiar faces, particularly because she hails from Kirinyaga.
“Today, I am very grateful to be part of this event, guided by our bishop, Bishop Ben Kiengei, and joined by our pastors from ACK as well as our honoured guests. Good evening, everyone. I am so happy to be here. I am from Kirinyaga, so being here feels like home,” Dama said.

She highlighted the encouragement she felt seeing the event proceed smoothly without anyone being pressured to communicate in perfect English, noting that even the Chairman had made his address in neat Swahili.
“I am excited because today I have felt encouraged, especially seeing that our chairman spoke without stressing himself in English. He communicated naturally, and for those of us who are not very fluent, this is very encouraging. It shows that communication is what matters, not the language. Even when visitors from China come, they do not insist on speaking Kiswahili,” Dama said.
