Vera Sidika hits back at critics questioning her travels, says her downfall will never happen

Socialite Vera Sidika has responded to online claims that she no longer travels, saying her silence on social media should not be mistaken for inactivity.
In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, Vera dismissed the rumours, explaining that she has simply chosen to keep a low profile while taking a break from social media.
According to the businesswoman, she has travelled several times this year despite not sharing every trip with her followers.
‘I’ve travelled eight times this year’
Vera said some people had concluded that she no longer travels because she has not been posting her trips online. She, however, insisted that the reality is very different.
“People are busy claiming that I don’t travel anymore, yet I’ve actually travelled eight times this year. I’ve just been keeping it low-key because I’m on a social media break,” Vera said.
She added that not every trip has to be documented online. “Just because I don’t post doesn’t mean I’m not travelling. People are used to seeing others announce trips three months in advance and post every single detail because, for them, travelling is an achievement that takes months to plan,” she added.
‘I just book a flight and go’
The socialite went on to explain that travelling has become part of her lifestyle and does not require much planning.
“For me, I just wake up, book a first-class flight and go wherever I want. I literally have visas to almost every country you can think of,” Vera said.
She also asked social media users to stop creating stories about her whenever she goes quiet online.
“When you see me quiet online, just leave me alone. I’m literally unproblematic. I’ve been busy working on different things, yet people keep disturbing my peace,” she said.
Says critics have waited too long
Vera also addressed people she believes have been hoping to see her fail, maintaining that their wishes will never come true.
“They are always praying for my downfall, and it will never happen. You’ll wait an eternity because the more they try, the more God blesses me and puts them to shame,” Vera said.
Reflecting on her journey in the public eye, the socialite noted that she has remained relevant despite spending more than a decade in the entertainment industry.
‘Fourteen years and still standing’
Vera said she is proud of her longevity, arguing that very few socialites have managed to remain influential for as long as she has.
“It’s been 14 years in the game. You all had 14 years to try, and you still could never bring me down. I’m still influential, still relevant, still rich and getting wealthier. Show me one socialite who has done 14 years and is still standing. It’s called grace,” Vera said.
She concluded by saying she remains grateful for the blessings in her life and is focused on her work rather than the criticism directed at her online.
Vera has recently kept a lower profile on social media, but her latest remarks show she is unfazed by speculation about her lifestyle and remains confident about the path she has built over the years.
