Uko kadi? Pastor T challenges Kenyans to love and defend their nation
Vocal preacher Anthony Kahura Mwangi, popularly known as Pastor T, has challenged Kenyans to actively participate in shaping the country’s future by exercising their constitutional right to register as voters and cast their ballots in the upcoming elections.
In a video shared on his Instagram account on Monday, June 22, 2026, Pastor T questioned whether citizens are truly committed to national development by obtaining voters’ cards and participating in elections or are merely observing from the sidelines.
“Swali Tu? Uko Kadi ama you are just watching from the sidelines?” Pastor T posed, urging Kenyans to move beyond conversations and take practical steps towards influencing the country’s leadership through the ballot.

The preacher compared Kenya’s development journey with other nations, citing examples such as the United States and Singapore, which he said progressed because their citizens loved and protected their countries.
“You cannot pray for a Kenya that you hate, the reason why America is America is because there are people who loved their nation, and they could not sin against their nation. nation, the reason why Singapore is Singapore is someone loved their nation,” he added.
He added that Kenya’s future depends on the collective love and commitment of its people.
“The reason why Kenya will be Kenya is because we love our nation,” Pastot T stated.
Pastor T’s warning to politicians
Earlier the youthful preacher issued a stern warning to Kenyan politicians over the rising vulgarity in campaign language.
Speaking during a live interview with a local media station on Wednesday night, March 18, 2026, Mwangi emphasised that younger generations, particularly Gen Z, are paying close attention to every move.
As political fights continue, Mwangi warned that the youth are not automatically on anyone’s side.

“Gen Z are not loyal to a person; they do not have that loyalty without a cause, they stick to ideologies. As these fights continue, be rest assured they are not on anyone’s side,” Mwangi warned.
He also expressed concern over the junior politicians due to the ongoing fights and use of vulgar language by the political class.
“Am also afraid of what will happen to the junior politicians because not only has that language missed its cause, but we are also getting to a place of sexualising these things, which is so absurd,” Mwangi pointed out.
In addition, Mwangi emphasised that leaders from all sides carry a responsibility, but the ultimate accountability rests with the president as the father of the nation.
“I believe the leaders from both sides have a responsibility, but the buck lies with the president as the father of the nation,” Mwangi said.
