Tony Mwirigi appreciates Oga Obinna for his contribution to boxing after Vurugu 2
Milele FM radio host and TV presenter Tony Mwirigi has expressed his appreciation to entertainer and event organiser Oga Obinna following the success of the Vurugu 2 boxing event, highlighting the opportunities the show created for many people within the entertainment industry.
In a message shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Tony reflected on his involvement in the event and thanked Obinna for trusting him with key responsibilities during the build-up and execution of the highly publicised boxing showdown.

According to Tony, he was honoured to be part of the event in different capacities. He revealed that he was entrusted with overseeing the official media tour for Vurugu 2 and later co-hosted the red carpet event held at Sarit Centre.
The media personality noted that the experience allowed him to engage with audiences and industry players while contributing to the success of one of the most talked-about entertainment and boxing events in the country.

“I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Kenya’s top entertainer and Vurugu 2 organiser, Oga Obinna, for entrusting me with two major responsibilities. First, handling the official media tour for Vurugu 2, and secondly, co-hosting the red carpet event at Sarit Centre alongside Jackie Ogaga from Obinna TV Studios,” he wrote.

Tony also praised Obinna’s commitment to bringing together entertainment and boxing through the Vurugu platform. He described the event as memorable and credited its success to careful planning and determination.
