Tony Mwirigi shares experience after first-ever encounter with Alcoblow officers
Milele FM radio presenter Tony Mwirigi has opened up about his first-ever encounter with Alcoblow officers, sharing his surprise after coming across a roadblock where motorists were being tested in Nairobi.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Saturday, June 20, 2026, the media personality said the experience was new to him, revealing that despite having owned his Mazda Atenza for several months, he had never before interacted with Alcoblow officers.
He shared his reaction after finding the officers conducting alcohol tests on drivers along the road, saying it was the first time he had witnessed the exercise personally.
“In my life since I bought this Mazda Atenza of mine, which cost over Ksh1 million, which was six months ago, I have not ever faced or come across Alcoblow officers. But today I have,” he said.
The Milele FM presenter said the encounter caught him by surprise, noting that it was an entirely new experience behind the wheel.
“And this is the first time and experience”, he added.

Tony further explained that as he watched the officers stop motorists and conduct the tests, he wondered whether he would also be required to undergo the procedure.
“And I wonder if they will put that test in my mouth as they usually do,” he said.
He noted that the officers had set up the operation and were actively checking drivers at the time he arrived.
“The officers are all over here, and they are doing the alcoblow on drivers. For the first time, I am experiencing this,” he said.
Despite the unexpected encounter, Tony said he was confident that he had nothing to worry about because he does not consume alcohol.
“But the good thing I know I will make out because I don’t drink,” he stated.
Car dedication
Elsewhere, K24 Digital reported that Mwirigi took his newly acquired Mazda Atenza to church for a special blessing, following the Christian tradition of dedicating newly acquired possessions to God.
Towards the end of the service, Mwirigi approached the priest who was presiding over the Mass and requested him to bless his newly purchased vehicle.
The priest, dressed in liturgical vestments, stepped outside with the radio presenter and led a prayer beside the silver Mazda Atenza.
He then sprinkled holy water inside the car, officially declaring it blessed and suitable for all the duties and journeys the media personality intends to use it for.
After the ceremony, the two were seen engaging in a brief conversation, with the priest offering words of encouragement and praying for Mwirigi to experience greater growth, favour, and more opportunities in the coming years.
New ride
The ‘Milele Afternoon’ show host first announced the purchase of the car on December 21, 2025.
At the time, he revealed that the Atenza was his first car, which he acquired at the age of 27.
He shared that he had prayed to God for everything that was unfolding in his life and acknowledged that God had come through for him once again.
“My First Car at 27-New Mazda Atenza Owner. I prayed to God For Everything that is happening in my Life, He has done it again. No Paid Partnership, just me and my hard work. Swipe and See the Power of Prayers🎙️❤️I prayed for it,” he wrote.
While celebrating the new ride, Mwirigi added that although he was currently driving a Mazda Atenza, his ultimate dream car remained a Mercedes-Benz, showing that he still has bigger aspirations ahead.
“Just a Reminder. We are Currently Rocking In a Mazda Atenza, But The Dream Will always be Mercedes,” he wrote.
