Tileh Pacbro responds to viral question on whether he’d date a Kenyan woman

Content creator and dancer Tileh Pacbro has responded after a fan asked whether he would date a Kenyan woman, saying a person’s values are far more important than where they come from.
In a series of posts shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, July 26, 2026, Tileh explained that while culture plays a role in shaping people, it is character, honesty and personal principles that determine whether he would be in a relationship with someone.
‘The Kenyan part doesn’t matter’
Responding to the question, Tileh said it would have made more sense if the fan had personalised it instead of making it about nationality.
“I think it would’ve been better if you reframed the question to, ‘Would you date me, a Kenyan woman?’ Because then I would be able to better explain to you why the Kenyan part doesn’t matter, as long as the ‘me’ part aligns with what I look for in a partner,” Tileh said.
He explained that being Kenyan only forms part of a person’s identity and upbringing, but it is the individual’s values that matter most in a relationship.
Childhood shapes relationships
Tileh went on to explain that the environment people grow up in often influences how they communicate, handle conflict and build relationships.
“The Kenyan part plays a key role in shaping the ‘me’. How you were raised heavily shapes how you relate to other people. For example, if your parents used to beat you all the time for small things, which is very common in our culture, you may end up becoming a chronic liar and probably struggle with communication. I would rather lose you than keep you with a lie,” he explained.
He added that people also adopt behaviours they constantly see around them, making it important to build personal values instead of simply following culture.
Honesty and loyalty are non-negotiable
According to Tileh, relationships only work when both partners share similar principles and respect each other’s boundaries.
“If everyone around you has loose boundaries or is promiscuous, you begin to normalise it, and things like infidelity become a small mistake in your eyes. In my eyes, lying to your partner and cheating on them carry the same weight,” he said.
He concluded by saying he would never reject someone because they are Kenyan, but because their values may not align with his.
“If you don’t share the same boundaries, then I wouldn’t date you, not because you’re Kenyan, but because I can tell you haven’t formed your own principles outside of our culture. The relationship would simply be fun for you, but chaos for me,” Tileh added.
Recently confirmed he is single
Tileh’s remarks come days after he confirmed that he is single following the end of his relationship with Colombian content creator Jessica Zapata.
Speaking during a recent interview, the content creator said he has moved on and is embracing this new chapter of his life positively, although he chose not to reveal what led to the breakup.
